Process EngineerCrawfordsville, INThe Process Engineer has overall accountability for managing the site process and productivity details to optimize efficiency and product cost, quality, capacity utilization, and operability of production processes. This position is also accountable for CAPEX projects.
RequirementsEssential Job Duties- Serves as the process expert for all manufacturing processes on-site and leads in the troubleshooting of technology, and quality-related issues, interfacing with corporate teams as necessary.
- Identifying, initiating, and leading projects to improve process safety, quality, service, cost, capacity, and productivity through engineering and continuous improvement methods.
- Works with various functions to identify and transfer processes/products into the site to balance capacity utilization.
- Directs activities so that approved products and projects are introduced on time working with internal maintenance teams and outside contractor partners as required.
- Ensures new production processes are implemented in compliance with EHS regulations, cost control, waste reduction and quality standards.
- Troubleshooting defects and variation, performing root cause analysis, applying systematic problem-solving techniques, and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Engaging in daily operations to resolve equipment downtime issues, assure quality and productivity, and meet service targets.
- Creating and maintaining product/process documentation, including specifications, test methods, and change management documentation.
- Provides critical support to the site leadership in the cultural journeys of EHS, Quality, Customer Focus, and Continuous Improvement
- Drives visual operation performance metrics to the shop floor.
- Communicate with the site and corporate Leadership teams as required.
- Reports to the Plant Manager and provides support for ad hoc assignments from plant and corporate team.
Required Skills/Experience:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field.
- Five years of experience in a high volume manufacturing environment

Desired Skills/Experience: - Training and experience in continuous improvement methods, statistics, and designed experiments are beneficial; and Six Sigma are beneficial; Green Belt certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated capability and knowledge of equipment reliability concepts and methods.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and remain flexible to changes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated project leadership experience, teamwork, and communication skills.
