Qorvo is seeking a talented and driven Manufacturing/Process Engineer to join our Spatium® Solid State Power Amplifire team in Richardson, Texas. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, supporting production, process optimization, and development initiatives across various factory operations.
This is an onsite role where the expectation is to be onsite five days a week at our Richardson TX office.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and execute controlled experiments to evaluate and improve process capabilities, reducing variation and enhancing consistency.
• Analyze data using statistical tools to identify root causes, correlations, and interdependencies affecting yield and performance.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including management, logistics, production, maintenance, and facilities.
• Balance multiple responsibilities by supporting both ongoing manufacturing operations and development/improvement projects.
• Lead small project teams focused on cost reduction, cycle time improvement, yield enhancement, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct return-on-investment (ROI) analyses to support decisions on new equipment or process changes.
• Partner with operators, technicians, and process engineers to identify and eliminate defect sources.
• Take full ownership of assigned processes, driving accountability and results.
• Demonstrate urgency, initiative, and a strong commitment to team success. Provide occasional support for equipment troubleshooting and repair.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field
• A minimum of 0-2 years of experience in the semiconductor industry
• Solid understanding of SPC, DOE, and FDC
• Basic understanding of RF principles
• Proficiency with data analysis tools (Spotfire, JMP)
• Experience developing and executing qualification plans
• Strong structured problem solving skills
• Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows-based applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Cumulative GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale
• Experience in box build assembly and Radio Frequency (RF) testing
• Familiarity with new product introduction (NPI), fixture design, and test documentation
• Exposure to CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
• Programming or scripting experience (e.g., SQL queries)
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles
