Overview

Support and improve manufacturing processes and production operations for commercial refrigeration cases. This role combines hands-on manufacturing support with process improvement, applying basic Lean Manufacturing principles to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day production and assembly operations.
  • Develop, improve, and document manufacturing processes (sheet metal, brazing, foaming, wiring, and assembly).
  • Troubleshoot production, quality, and equipment-related issues.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S, standard work, waste reduction, and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze production and quality data to drive improvements.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and visual aids.
  • Support new product introductions and production ramp-ups.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Safety teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or related).
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing experience (internship or co-op acceptable).
  • Basic Lean Manufacturing experience or training.
  • Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • CAD software's.

Preferred:
  • Experience in refrigeration, HVAC, or thermal system manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis and continuous improvement tools.

The salary or hourly range of $61,810- $114,790 is just one component of Hussmann's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual's knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
