The Role

As a Process Engineer Lead role for Product Lifecycle Management with Siemens Teamcenter, you will work to provide business functions across GM with operational support and application engineering solutions for current and future GVDP needs. This role will lead projects to support a variety of functions across the enterprise in Product Development Process integration with Siemens Teamcenter.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

This role will interface with our business customers to:
  • Identify and prioritize business requirements for project proposals.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to develop product data management methods integrated globally and cross-functionally.
  • Develop and document proposals for standard work improvements based on customer requirements.
  • Direct process test efforts to pilot and deliver; this includes test case development and test strategies; create and execute test cases, and document and resolve issues.
  • Work with global business stakeholders and technical experts to train users and deploy PLM processes and systems; develop training materials, deliver content, and document results.
  • Lead resolution of Teamcenter issues, including a determination of root cause, impact assessments, and the development of a solution in collaboration with IT and Vendors. Occasional end user support may be required.
  • Develop Teamcenter configuration changes.
  • Develop Teamcenter Workflow solutions for business process needs.


Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience working with product data in Siemens Teamcenter with Vehicle Design Process (VDP) in design, engineering, or manufacturing systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business process/standard work development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business processes (e.g., Design & Release, Data management, Siemens Teamcenter/NX/Visualization/Active Workspace, Collaboration and/or Validation).
  • Strong interpersonal (team) and communication (oral, written) skills to work effectively with global business, IT, and technology partners to execute projects, solve problems and resolve issues.
  • Ability to analyze and model difficult abstract problems using evidence-based methods.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
  • DFSS Black Belt Certification.
  • Teamcenter configuration experience.
  • Teamcenter Infrastructure and Installation Knowledge (Deployment center, BMIDE).
