Process Engineer - Converting & Web Handling
Hands-On Role | Production Floor Focused
If terms like unwind, rewind, web tension, and roll-to-roll converting are familiar to you-and you enjoy being close to equipment and people-this role may be a strong fit. If your background is primarily desk-based or design-only, this likely won't be the right role, and we want to be transparent about that up front.
What You'll Do
• Support setup of converting equipment for new SKUs and custom customer requests
• Work directly with unwind/rewind systems, web handling, and material flow
• Design or improve dies, and die management
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues alongside operations
• Use AutoCAD and Excel for layouts, analysis, and decision-making
• Lead continuous improvement projects focused on uptime, yield, and waste reduction
Who This Role Is For
You're likely a good fit if you have hands-on experience with converting or web-based manufacturing equipment and enjoy solving real-world problems on the production floor. Experience with coaters, laminators, slitters, or similar equipment is strongly preferred.
This role is not intended for early-career engineers without manufacturing exposure or those seeking a primarily office-based position. A Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree is preferred, though equivalent hands-on experience is valued.
What We Offer
• Salary range: $75,000-$95,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
• Competitive benefits package
• Opportunities to lead automation and process improvement projects
• Exposure to specialized adhesive and converting technologies
• A collaborative culture that values practical thinking and continuous improvement
If this role aligns with how you want to work and grow, we encourage you to apply.
