A Day in the Life:

The Process Engineer will be involved in the design and construction of new projects and modification of existing equipment and efficiency improvements as required to meet safety, commercial expectations, maximize operating efficiencies and maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.

The work will include performing in-house design and coordination with outside consultants and contractors as necessary for successful project completion. Equipment selection, procurement and construction contract administration are typical duties of the Process Engineer.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Actively and enthusiastically participate in and lead facility safety activities.
  • When designing projections and/or troubleshooting equipment, ensure that safety requirements of the facility are followed.
  • Conceptually designs and performs feasibility studies for new projects.
  • Develop cost estimates for projects.
  • Develop DCF models for large projects.
  • Manage outside consulting engineers/contractors and coordinate project activities with the plant.
  • Develop equipment specifications and prepare construction bid packages.
  • Ensure project schedules and costs projections are achieved.
  • Complete problem solving and troubleshooting on an as need bases and as requested by the plant management.
  • Catalog and control all Plant drawings and p&ids.


Skill/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, agricultural, electrical, or chemical engineering required.
  • 6 - 9 years of experience, in plant operations, maintenance and safety is required.
  • Proficiency with applicable computer software packages including AutoCad, Microsoft Word, Excel and Project.
  • Knowledge of design codes and government regulations affecting the industry including NFPA 36, NFPA 61, OSHA and EPA is preferred.
  • Demonstrates mechanical aptitude and interest with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates organizational and planning capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Has worked on projects of $2.5M - $5M, that are very complex projects that impact the entire plant operations. The employee is responsible for implementing industry best practice efficiency solutions on some plant projects. and improving or reducing KPI Standards.
  • Has completed projects successfully on time and on budget that met expectations and responsibilities including safety compliance and incorporating safety in design and operations of project, requiring pre-planning, developing risk registers for scope, schedule and cost, recognizing most cost-effective design and construction methods. proactively responding to scope changes.
  • Has been responsible for quantifiable improvement in KPI efficiency with value creation annually 500K.
  • Has directed third party contractors, mechanical, electrical, and engineering firms, across a fully integrated plant,
  • Must be able to understand Bunge Policies and when they are applied.
  • Must be able to manage safety requirements and implementation with reports and contractors.
  • Must be able to able to cover Department Manager for PTO.

The compensation range for this position is $98,296.00-$110,583.00. In addition to the regular compensation, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
