Job Description

Process Designer (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services Inc.; Denver, CO): Support development of detailed design and construction documents for water treatment and wastewater treatment plants. Support design documentation through sketches, electronic models, engineering calculations, and other visual formats. Assist in the development of technical equipment and specifications. Perform hydraulic calculations using company standard software and proprietary software. Perform calculations to specify equipment, such as Pumps, Compressors, Separators, Heaters, Heat Exchangers, and Columns. Work with Controls Engineers to develop control philosophy and cause and effect charts. Attend project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.). The salary is $125,237 - $145,000 per year. The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, & work location. #LI-DNI #GTM

Bonus: Individuals in this position may be paid a discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience with the following: Performing Hydraulic Calculations using Fathom, EPANET or AFT Arrow to select pumping equipment appropriate for projects; Creating sketches and design drawings of water treatment processes, wastewater treatment processes including biological reactors, centrifuges, mixing tanks, biological aeration demand, and reservoirs; and Performing calculations for required chemical demands for a treatment process and implementing these calculations into chemical system designs.

Telecommuting permitted up to 5 days a week.

Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 10%.
