What role you will play in our teamThe Process Design Lead is responsible for the planning, execution, optimization, and technical oversight of early-stage facility design and design basis development. This role provides subject matter expertise to multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring high-quality, fit-for-purpose process designs that support business objectives.
This role also serves as a technical mentor and coach to less experienced Process Designers and engineers, fostering capability development and knowledge sharing across the organization. In addition, the role actively participates in internal and external technical networks, leveraging deep expertise to influence work processes, drive continuous improvement, and advance industry best practices. Through strong technical leadership and collaboration, the Process Design Lead contributes to organizational excellence, innovation, and the successful delivery of complex facility development opportunities.

What you will do- Personnel in this position typically act as a Design Lead on large and/or complex projects
- Sustain and enhance capabilities and develop team by technically mentoring team members, and develop intermediate designers into lead design roles
- Provide ad hoc process design technical support and mentoring to personnel at supported sites within the region
- Network with advisor, principal, solicit support for external reviews of larger projects as needed
- Represent regional office in technical networks as needed
- Provide FEL 1 development scope in collaboration with business planning function
- Provide technical oversight and support to teams planning and executing FEL 2 and 3 technical deliverables; review design deliverables for completeness & consistency; ensure capital efficiency mindset
- Work with teams in planning FEL 2, 3 and EPC activities, schedule & budget
Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Demonstrated technical and leadership capability
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills
- Ability to analyze and discuss complex concepts effectively
- Ability to work autonomously and contribute to success of a team
Preferred Qualifications / Experience- 5-15 years of experience
- Oil & Gas experience
- Leadership experience
- Performed equipment ratings, incorporate safety considerations and field verifications, early equipment sizing, and optimization studies
- Developed Heat & Materials (H&MBs) and preliminary Flow Plans
- Developed design specification, interfacing with other disciplines to ensure technical quality and completeness of facilities definition
- Developed Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Provided oversight and quality control of technical deliverables throughout FEED and design specification development
- Participated in P&ID, HAZOP, 3D Model, and Safety Systems Reviews
