Responsibilities

  • Perform routine quality control checks throughout the production cycle.
  • Report discrepancies and out-of-spec items to the production supervisor.
  • Operate testing equipment and software for checks and calculations.
  • Prepare and maintain quality control and process reports as needed.
  • Guide personnel to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Assume temporary supervisory responsibilities during emergencies.
  • Maintain lab equipment and ensure cleanliness in the color plant lab.

Essential Function

Perform the necessary quality control checks and adjustments on raw materials, products and production processes to ensure quality products are produced.

Core Competencies

Demonstrates math and analytical ability 

Possess the necessary skills to operate testing equipment and computer programs

Must be able to interact with hourly and salaried personnel

A working knowledge of the plant and the relationship to quality and process controls essential

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs routine daily quality control checks at all points in the production cycle to ensure final product specifications are met 

  • Reports variations and items out of specification to the production supervisor

  • Operates testing equipment and computer programs to accomplish necessary checks and calculations

  • Prepares and maintains quality control and process reports as required

  • Directs personnel to ensure compliance with company rules, policies and procedures

  • Assumes temporary responsibility for the plant in the absence of a supervisor in the event of an emergency

  • Responsible for maintaining lab equipment and good housekeeping within the color plant lab  

  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Knowledge
Education: High school diploma required. Education and/or experience in engineering or a science background desired.

Experience: Previous experience in an industrial environment preferred.

shift: 3:00pm-11:00pm (flexible to work overtime and weekends)

Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.

Base Hourly Rate: $41.27
