Job: Process Architect / Life Sciences Facility Planner

Location: Lenexa, KS, Chesterfield, MO or Broomfield, CO

We're seeking a Process Architect to join our Life Sciences team in Lenexa, KS, Chesterfield, MO or Broomfield, CO. This role sits at the intersection of operations, process planning, and architecture - helping clients define how their facilities function before detailed design begins.

You'll focus on front-end planning and early design, translating operational workflows into efficient, compliant, and well-integrated facility layouts.

What You'll Do
  • Support programming workshops and client planning sessions by documenting requirements and translating them into space plans and adjacency diagrams.
  • Analyze operational workflows and help translate process narratives into spatial planning solutions.
  • Develop planning-driven layouts that integrate process flow, adjacencies, and operational strategy.
  • Assist with architectural elevations, visual studies, and renderings to communicate design intent.
  • Participate in feasibility studies, master planning efforts, and early design phases.
  • Support preliminary regulatory and cGMP planning considerations with guidance from senior team members.
  • Work across a variety of project types including:
  • Greenfield developments
  • Renovations and facility expansions
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities
  • Laboratories and technical spaces
  • Offices and warehouse/distribution environments
  • Coordinate closely with GBA's in-house architects, engineers, and preconstruction professionals.
  • Conduct field investigations and assist with planning documentation.
  • Contribute across multiple projects simultaneously, typically through early design phases (~30%).


What You Bring
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
