Summary:Under general supervision by the Technical Manager, this employee will provide daily support to the direct sales force, representatives, and customers in the areas of API-610 Pumps and other pump applications, proposal development and order processing/management. Specifically, this includes review of API-610 pump specifications, proposal preparation, providing technical support to customers, interfacing with vendors, order processing and expediting
Responsibilities of the Process Engineer include, but are not limited to:- Gas Sweetening (Amine, Membrane, Physical Solvents).
- Gas Dehydration (Glycol, Molecular Sieve Systems).
- Pumping stations.
- PFDs, P&IDs, Mass & Energy Balance Development.
- Process Simulation: Aspen HYSYS, ProMax, Aspen Plus.
- Equipment Sizing: Pipes, valves Columns, Compressors, Heat Exchangers, Vessels
- Safety Analysis: HAZOP, SIL, Cause & Effect Diagrams.
- FEED and Detailed Engineering Deliverables.
- Familiar with API, ASME, NFPA, ISO, and Shell DEP Standards.
- Familiar with ADNOC, Aramco, PDO, KOC specifications.
- Created and validated process simulations using Aspen HYSYS and ProMax for gas processing facilities, including flare load studies and relief system design.
- Prepared process datasheets for key equipment (pumps, exchangers, separators, control valves) and supported mechanical team during procurement.
- Lead HAZOP and operability reviews, resolving process safety issues and implementing improvements.
- Collaborated with multidisciplinary teams across FEED and EPC phases to align process design with project execution and commissioning plans.
- Supported start-up and performance testing of gas treatment facilities in coordination with operations and commissioning teams.
- Travel international and domestic as required to support sales team in customer meetings.
Qualifications of the Process Engineer include, but are not limited to:- Maximum 10 years and minimum 5-7 years of experience in relevant field as Process Design Engineer.
- Experience in natural gas treatment, gas conditioning, and processing facilities in the oil and gas sector.
- Proven expertise in the design and optimization of gas treatment units including amine sweetening, dehydration, NGL recovery, sulfur recovery (SRU), compression, and acid gas handling systems.
- Strong command of process simulation tools (HYSYS, Aspen Plus, ProMax) and engineering standards (API, ASME, ISO).
- Adept at developing PFDs, P&IDs, process datasheets, mass and energy balances, and supporting detailed engineering through all project stages (FEED, EPC, commissioning).
- Known for delivering efficient, safe, and cost-effective process solutions in alignment with client and regulatory requirements.
- Team oriented, Self-starter and highly motivated.
- Strong PC skills with Windows XP and Microsoft Office programs.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks.
- Demonstrate ability to establish relationships with customer base.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good work ethic and positive attitude.
