Chemours is seeking a
Process Analyzer Technician to join our growing Chemours team! This position will report directly to the Leveraged Analytical Technology Manager at our
Newark, DE, location.
The Chemours Analyzer Group is seeking to engage a Process Analyzer Technician to support collaborative research projects and business-critical product/process measurements at the Chemours Discovery Hub in Newark, DE. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to a variety of scientific efforts on behalf of multiple business units. There will be an expectation to have - or enthusiastically develop - expertise in analyzer system design, fabrication, and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop quickly into a technical resource in their areas of expertise and make strong and increasing technical contributions to the corporation.
The Chemours Discovery Hub is located on the University of Delaware STAR Campus in Newark, DE. This state-of-the-art facility was completed in 2019 and fully opened for science in 2020. The 350 scientists, engineers, and technicians at the site work in 130 laboratories that provide 320,000 square feet of space for research and development, technical service, and manufacturing support of Chemours businesses. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: - Drive creative and integrated analyzer solutions
- Participate in analyzer technology selection and sample system design
- Independently fabricate and troubleshoot integrated analyzer systems
- Support deployment of analyzer systems to manufacturing sites including installation, commissioning and training of site personnel
- Make recommendations for improvement opportunities to existing analyzer systems
- Full commitment to personal and team safety
- Effectively communicate with the diverse manufacturing community
- Work independently and with cross-functional teams
- Independently formulate work plans and manage/prioritize daily workflow
The following is required for this role: - A.S., B.S. degree or 5+ years of equivalent experience in the field of Electrical & Instrumentation technology
- Demonstrated the ability to troubleshoot at least one of the following: electrical systems, mechanical systems, or instrumentation (PLCs, sensors, communications, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to accomplish tasks independently with minimal guidance/supervision
- Demonstrated ability to meet challenging deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Commitment to safe operations always
- Strong oral and written communication skills
The following is preferred for this role: - Knowledge of process measurements and process analytical chemistry
- Familiarity with FTIR, UV-Vis, TDL and/or GC monitoring technology
- Experience in sampling system design and tube fitting
- Experience with CAD software
- Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with pressure and flow technologies
