Your roleWe are currently seeking candidates for our
Senior Sales Manager position to work remotely as part of our Sales Team. This full-time position reports to the North America Sales Director, and the ideal candidate is based in the U.S. Midwest region to support customer engagement, regional travel, and in-person business development
Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM through 5:00 PM, with up to 50% travel.
POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for driving new business growth by identifying, prospecting, and securing new customer partnerships. This role builds strong, influential relationships across all levels of a customer organization - both strategic and operational - to deepen engagement between Probi and key accounts. In this position, you will develop and execute strategic account plans for high-priority customers, partnering closely with Sales and Marketing to align on goals, strategy, and execution. To be successful, you will proactively manage a robust sales pipeline, generating new business while supporting the growth and maintenance of existing accounts. This role requires a results-oriented, relationship-driven sales professional with the ability to influence, strategize, and deliver in a dynamic commercial environment.
KEY JOB DUTIES - Deliver revenue and growth targets with assigned customers in accordance with annual sales budget.
- Act as the primary interface between customers and Probi.
- Carry out specific responsibilities in each step of the sales process, which include, but are not limited to:
- Identify prospective customers;
- Develop, execute, document, and maintain sufficient customer sales opportunities;
- Facilitate and execute contract and licensing negotiations with customers;
- Establish relationships with individuals at all levels of the customers' organization;
- Present the features and benefits of Probi products and services including clinical research;
- Conduct on-site sales meetings with customers and prospects including key stakeholders from both organizations.
- Develop short- and medium-term commercial plans with input from different functions such as marketing, product management, R&D.
- Align go-to-market activities in the region and coordinate with marketing and sales team members.
- Complete appropriate reporting of all sales activities, including call reports in CRM database.
- Continuously improve comprehensive product and service knowledge, relevant industry familiarity, and sales techniques to answer the majority of questions posed during typical engagements with prospects and customers.
- Take direction from management and escalate/delegate appropriately to peers and other personnel at Probi.
- Exhibit a professional demeanor and the ability to establish rapport with prospects, customers, and co-workers.
- Adhere to company policies and guidelines as described in the Company Employee Handbook.
- Special projects as assigned. Special projects may include development of strategic sales plans for top key accounts, mentoring peers, and traveling with other account managers to offer support and coaching.

WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor's degree, preference for biology, chemistry, nutrition, or food science.
- Minimum 10 years of previous sales experience preferable in the processed food, food ingredient, or dietary supplement industry.
- Experience with CRM database, SalesForce is preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Business Central is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Attention to detail.

Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
