The
Probabilistic Risk Assessment (
PRA) Engineer will support the
space program located at the Marshall Space Flight Center in
Huntsville, Alabama. RESPONSIBILITIES:- Develop, maintain, and update integrated logic models and quantitative fault tree analyses (SAPHIRE) supporting risk models for the Human Landing System (HLS) program.
- Review and assess project reliability documentation to ensure consistency and alignment with program requirements.
- Develop and use analytical tools to identify and satisfy reliability and risk assessment requirements for MSFC programs and projects.
- Conduct Probabilistic Risk Assessments (PRA) for the HLS Moon2Mars Program, including support for PRA model development, problem investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action recommendations.
- Provide expertise in evaluating documentation related to manufacturing, inspection, and test processes for programs and projects.
- Perform focused quantitative risk assessments to support risk-informed decisions on flight risk and mitigation alternatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Must have a bachelor's degree in a STEM related field (e.g., physics, engineering, math, etc).
- Must have 5+ years of recent and related work experience.
- In lieu of degree: Candidates with 9+ years of recent and related experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple parallel tasks at varying levels of maturity with effective time management.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize large volumes of information and clearly summarize key insights.
DESIRED:- Experience with engineering software tools such as MATLAB, CAFTA, and Python.
- NASA experience preferred; MSFC experience strongly preferred.
WORK LOCATION: - This is a hybrid position that offers a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off; some travel may be required.
- Schedules are subject to change based on the requirements of the position and/or customer needs.

- Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time) and may require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
- Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.
