Full Job Description
A Path of Care Hospice of Norman, OK is looking to hire a PRN Nurse Practitioner.

This Nurse Practitioner position earns a competitive wage. We also offer a 401(k) and schedule flexibility.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A NURSE PRACTITIONER

As a Nurse Practitioner in healthcare, you play an essential role in the medical component of the hospice program including visits, physical examinations, Face to Face visits and documentation. Other responsibilities you partake in is collaborating with the Administrator/Director and Medical Director and other health professionals in developing formal patient care policies.

In addition, you will work closely with the Patient care Coordinator to ensure care is delivered in accordance with acceptable standards of practice, meet patient and family needs, and is in compliance with applicable rules and regulations. When needed, you will provide guidance to the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) Medical Director and Ethics Committee in the resolution of conflict and ethical issues. When necessary, you can help with Helps manage, review and respond to federal, state or local surveys and inspections. Helps develop in-service and other education programs and materials for other professional staff. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A NURSE PRACTITIONER
  • Must be a Nurse Practitioner legally authorized to practice in the State of Oklahoma and have a license free of sanctions.
  • Work experience in geriatrics, palliative medicine or other relevant field of medicine.
  • Work experience in a certified hospice program experience preferred.
  • The Nurse Practitioner works in the field 95% of the time with frequent bending, stooping, sitting, standing and walking.

WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time Nurse Practitioner position works flexible hours from Monday to Friday.
