Overview

WHO are we looking for?

CAPTRUST is seeking a Private Markets Research Professional who will play a critical role in sourcing, analyzing, recommending, and monitoring private market investment managers. The candidate should have a strong knowledge of industry trends within the private markets, with a particular focus on real estate and real assets. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Source, analyze, recommend, and monitor private market investment managers, with an emphasis on real estate and real assets opportunities
  • Prepare clear and comprehensive due diligence reports on managers, including qualitative and quantitative factors
  • Identify and implement process improvements in manager due diligence
  • Build and maintain a professional network that is beneficial to clients, ensuring unique access and distinctive value-add
  • Aid in the creation and distribution of client-facing materials related to approved fund options
  • Encourage and assist advisors in the ongoing application of investment strategies and research for the betterment of their clients and their portfolios
  • Help the firm advance conversations around new business opportunities through stellar client relationship management and lending subject matter expertise to prospective client pitches


Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:
  • Completion of a four-year college degree or combination of relevant work experience
  • 8 years' experience in financial services investment management
  • 3+ years of experience conducting due diligence on private capital managers

Desired Qualifications/Skills:
  • CFA or CAIA preferred
  • Demonstrated qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of creating engaging collateral and effectively presenting complex investment concepts to a diverse audience.
  • A proactive approach to participant engagement, with the ability to manage relationships both within the firm and with external partners.
