Full Job Description
As a Private Banking Team Leader, you will lead a team of Private Banking professionals serving high net worth clients. You will drive relationship growth, deliver comprehensive financial solutions, and partner across the bank to deepen client engagement and expand assets under management.
This is a highly visible leadership role focused on balancing client relationship strategy, team performance, and business growth.
What You'll Do
Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team
• Coach and develop Private Bankers and support staff to deliver an exceptional client experience
• Provide ongoing feedback, training, and performance guidance
• Align team execution with business priorities and growth goals
Drive Client Growth & Retention
• Expand relationships with high net worth clients through tailored financial solutions
• Partner across business lines (wealth, lending, trust, investments) to deliver integrated strategies
• Support retention and growth of client assets, deposits, and fee income
Business Development & Strategy
• Build and maintain a strong network of Centers of Influence (COIs)
• Identify new business opportunities and lead targeted growth strategies
• Collaborate with senior leaders to align market strategies with enterprise goals
Deliver Integrated Financial Solutions
• Act as a connector across the bank-bringing the right expertise to each client relationship
• Identify client needs proactively and connect them with appropriate specialists
• Ensure seamless handoffs and coordinated service delivery
Risk & Compliance
• Ensure all activities align with internal policies and regulatory requirements
• Maintain adherence to applicable laws including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and SAFE Act requirements
Community Presence
• Represent the bank in the community to strengthen brand reputation
• Build referral pipelines through active community and professional engagement
What You Bring
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience
• 7+ years of financial services sales and relationship management
• 3+ years of commercial lending experience
• Experience working with high net worth clients and complex financial solutions
• Background in trust, investments, or wealth management preferred
Skills & Capabilities
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Proven ability to build and grow client relationships
• Deep knowledge of banking, lending, and wealth solutions
• Strategic thinker with the ability to execute across multiple business lines
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills
Certifications (Preferred)
• Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
• Certified Wealth Strategist (CWS)
Additional Requirements
• Ability to travel locally and maintain reliable transportation, as needed
• Certain roles may require a credit check in compliance with federal regulations
• Must meet registration requirements under the SAFE Act, if applicable

The pay range represents anticipated base pay for this role. Actual pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, work location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role.
For certain positions, total compensation may also include incentive, commission, or bonus opportunities not reflected in the posted base pay range.
$111,020.00 - $190,320.00 per year
