Raytheon is seeking a full-time Principal Specialist, Field Service, to reside in McKinney, Texas supporting USAF MTS Customer and Raytheon, conducting repairs of turreted Electro-Optical, Infra-Red (EO/IR) Sensor and Systems and other Ad hoc duties.

This interdisciplinary engineering position requires an array of technical competencies in EO/IR Systems hardware and software, aircraft avionics and military flight-line environment as well as personality traits that enable one to respond effectively to dynamic conditions.

What You Will Do
  • Act as a representative for all Raytheon MTS assets during repair activity at McKinney, Texas.
  • Responsible for communicating frequently with program management and IPT leads, operations, engineering, mission assurance, and supply chain across multiple programs.
  • Responsible for reporting partner and/or customer sentiments, system performance/availability, maintenance activities/issues, repair status, and supply support/spares status.
  • Responsible for working with the PMs to meet performance metrics and schedule for Raytheon products across USAF and GA customer programs.
  • Provide hybrid IPTL support to the USAF PMs within Raytheon, including tracking of financials on the IOT.
  • Provides technical, logistics, and/or material support for multiple MTS products.
  • Ensure that all necessary inspection, maintenance, repair and modification activities are performed and recorded in the appropriate management information system.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
  • Travel required up to 35%


Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • 5 or more years of EO/IR maintenance experience with hardware/software/system administration.
  • Experience working with/balancing the needs of multiple internal customers and interacting with senior external personnel on significant technical matters, often requiring coordination between organizations.
  • Experience representing the organization as the prime technical contact regarding depot repair activity.


Qualifications We Prefer
  • 10+ years' experience in EO/IR Systems Integration, Test and Operational Maintenance.
  • Expertise typically gained through 8 or more years of hardware/software/system administration experience including ground station support and system administration experience.
  • Prior UASF MTS field experience a plus.
  • Possess communication skills needed for problem resolution with customers, contractors and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently without appreciable direction.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
