Full Job Description
We're seeking an experienced Principal Trainer, Epic Ambulatory to support training, workflow optimization, reporting, and user adoption initiatives across our organization. This role requires a unique blend of Epic expertise, training experience, analytical skills, and operational knowledge.

The ideal candidate is comfortable developing and delivering training programs, maintaining Epic training environments, analyzing data trends, and partnering with operational and IT teams to improve workflows and system adoption.

What You'll Do

Lead Epic Training & Education
  • Develop and deliver Epic Ambulatory training programs for providers and staff.
  • Create and maintain training materials, tip sheets, job aids, and workflow documentation.
  • Facilitate virtual and instructor-led training sessions.
  • Support onboarding, ongoing education, and optimization initiatives.

Manage Epic Training Environments
  • Support and maintain Epic Playground environments for training and testing.
  • Utilize Epic Mitosis and/or Scotty to support training, reporting, and workflow activities.
  • Ensure training environments accurately reflect operational workflows and system updates.

Drive Reporting & Analytics
  • Analyze training and operational data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Develop reports and perform advanced spreadsheet analysis using Excel.
  • Use data-driven insights to improve user adoption, workflow efficiency, and overall performance.

Partner on Workflow Optimization
  • Collaborate with operational leaders, providers, and IT teams to improve Epic workflows.
  • Support Epic upgrades, implementations, and optimization projects.
  • Provide recommendations that enhance efficiency, user experience, and organizational outcomes.

Required Qualifications
  • EpicCare Ambulatory Principal Trainer Certification
  • Epic Training Environment Build Certification
  • Experience supporting Epic Playground environments
  • Experience using Epic Mitosis and/or Scotty
  • Experience supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, or optimization initiatives
  • Experience in ambulatory healthcare operations
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience creating training materials and workflow documentation
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
