Full Job Description
THE ROLE

You'll act as the product conscience of our Platform Engineering Organization, ensuring our infrastructure and platform capabilities are built with rigor, internal end-user focus, and outcome orientation like any external-facing product. This senior individual contributor role works at the intersection of product strategy, engineering partnership, and organizational change.

Platform areas you will own:
  • Core Platform Foundations: cloud, identity, networking, storage
  • Platform Services & AI Enablement: self-service AI tools, developer enablement
  • Workplace Technology: end-user and enterprise tooling

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Own the Platform Product Roadmap

Define, maintain, and drive a clear product roadmap for Platform Engineering's internal offerings spanning Core Platform Foundations (cloud, identity, networking, storage), Platform Services & AI Enablement, and Workplace Technology. Translate the Infrastructure to Platform transformation strategy into a sequenced, quarterly roadmap through Q1 2028 that measurably accelerates engineering velocity, simplifies the technology landscape, and improves the customer and franchise experience. Ensure every roadmap commitment is tied to a business outcome, speed, margin, or growth, not just a delivery milestone. Keep the roadmap a living document that engineering teams can build against and partners can hold us accountable to.

Make Engineers Your Customer

Build a data-informed discovery engine that keeps Platform Engineering ahead of internal customer needs across Hasbro Gaming, Wizards, Digital/eComm, and Shared Platform. Combine NPS surveys, listening sessions, and structured feedback channels with data and AI-generated insight to detect patterns, anticipate gaps, and operationalize connected decision-making. Convert that intelligence into prioritized, clearly defined initiatives with measurable success criteria before unmet needs develop into shadow IT or critical issues.

Drive the Build/Run Feedback Loop

Operational risk grows when engineering teams build without accountability baked in. You'll own the product approach that closes that gap by embedding SLOs, runbooks, and on-call handoff conditions into launch criteria from the start. But the work doesn't stop at launch: partner with Core Platform and Platform Services and AI Enablement directors to establish a continuous prioritization and optimization rhythm across teams and platforms, so operational standards evolve alongside the portfolio and accountability compounds over time rather than eroding after handoff.

Build the AI-Native Operating Model

The Platform transformation involves a structural redesign centered on AI rather than a minor efficiency change. You'll collaborate with the Principal AI Engineer, and platform leads to define AI-native platform services as products. This means determining what to build, how to track adoption, and how to provide self-service AI tools to engineering teams. You will also help support the hiring gate process.

Lead Intake, Governance, and Demand Visibility

Invent and lead a universal request intake process that reveals demand, decreases resolution time, and delivers platform teams the prioritization cues they require. Work alongside Technical Program Managers to tie platform demand to Jira epics, landmark tracking, and the Technology Work Review process. Manage the product assets (PRDs, briefs, decision memos) that keep participants aligned without overwhelming engineers with procedural details.

Connect Platform Investments to Business Outcomes

Collaborate with Finance and business unit leadership to advance the showback-to-chargeback progression moving cloud and platform costs from opaque cost center to shared accountability among groups. Work with leadership to ensure the cost model reflects actual BU consumption across Hasbro Gaming, Wizards, Digital/eComm, and Shared Platform. Make cost visibility a product feature, not a finance exercise.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • You have 10+ years of technical product management experience. A significant part of that involved platform, infrastructure, or developer tooling products. You understand what it means to have engineers as your customers, not consumers.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a multi-quarter product roadmap in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment and to keep it honest as priorities shift
  • Strong discovery and research instincts: you develop feedback loops, facilitate listening sessions, and draw conclusions from evidence rather than assumption
  • Enough technical proficiency to have meaningful conversations with engineers about cloud architecture, FinOps tradeoffs, identity patterns, or observability. You don't need to build it but understand what you're crafting.
  • Experience working across organizational boundaries. You've aligned engineering, finance, security, and business collaborators around a shared roadmap and survived it
  • Clear, direct written communication: you write crisp PRDs, decision memos, and collaborator briefs that move things forward rather than detailing the obvious
  • You are comfortable working in transformation contexts. You have helped organizations change how they work, not just what they ship. You understand that operating model change is also a product problem.

NICE TO HAVE
  • Familiarity with FinOps concepts: showback/chargeback models, cloud cost allocation, tagging taxonomy development
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) as an operational backbone
  • Experience in gaming, entertainment, or consumer products involving separate business units and common platform requirements
  • Proven success with AI/ML platform products or developer enablement tooling (copilots, self-service infrastructure, AI skills)
  • Experience supporting or owning a managed services evaluation or vendor wind-down process
  • Familiarity with Microsoft EA surface area: Intune, Entra, Power Automate, Copilot and how to think about build vs. license decisions

The above is intended to describe the general content of and the requirements for satisfactory performance in this position. It is not to be construed as an exhaustive statement of the duties, responsibilities, or requirements of the position.
