Title:

Principal Technical Intelligence Analyst

KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security.

Key Responsibilities:

KBR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Technical Intelligence Analyst to join a dynamic team in Reston, Virginia. In this role, you will collaborate with a high-performing, multidisciplinary team of planners, analysts, and technical experts leveraging advanced modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) tools and techniques to shape and inform Concept Exploration, Course of Action Analysis, and Operational Planning efforts for the Department of War (DoW), Combatant Command, and other key stakeholders. The ideal candidate shall:

  • Apply your expertise in threat systems, employment concepts, and intelligence operations (collection, fusion, analysis, and dissemination) to support studies, experiments, and analytical assessments.

  • Drive innovation by bridging traditional operational planning and novel analytical approaches through creative and critical thinking.

  • Leverage your deep understanding of multi-domain threat military capabilities, concepts, and employment frameworks to evaluate the execution of Red and Blue kill chains and kill webs.

  • Collect, curate, and maintain authoritative datasets describing military organizations, platforms, weapons, and operational capabilities in a “smart” knowledge management environment that enables enterprise-wide insight and collaboration.

  • Translate threat doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures into actionable products to inform model, behavior, and simulation software development.

  • Deliver high-quality, high-impact written, visual, and analytical deliverables that inform senior decision-making.

  • Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%, supporting strong work-life balance

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience in intelligence collections, fusion, and analysis

  • Experience in the Indo-Pacific and/or European areas of responsibility

  • Direct experience developing threat concepts of operation and/or courses of action in support of Joint or Service Component Operational Planning efforts

  • Deep knowledge of non-U.S. military organizations, platforms, and systems (air, land, maritime, space, cyber, or multi-domain)

  • Demonstrated ability to structure unclassified and classified intelligence into data-driven, model-ready formats

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including briefing to senior technical and government audiences

Desired:

  • Master’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience in intelligence collections, fusion, and analysis

  • Prior experience supporting DARPA, DoW R&D, FFRDCs, or defense labs.

  • U.S. military Joint Qualified Officer (JQO) designation

  • Experience supporting modeling & simulation, wargaming, force analysis, or systems analysis efforts

  • Experience with military exercises or wargames

  • 2+ years of experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) techniques and tools

  • Experience developing or working with order of battle (OOB) databases, force posture models, or equipment catalogs

  • Knowledge of ontologies, data schemas, or knowledge graphs in a defense or intelligence context

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

40hrs

Basic Compensation:

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
