Summary

E-INFOSOL LLC is seeking a motivated and results-driven Principal Systems Engineer III (Network)to be a full-time employee in Pocatello, ID to join our innovative and customer solutions focused team.

Position Overview

The Principal Systems Engineer III (Network) will be responsible for design, deployment, testing, certification, patching, and addressing interoperability issues for all features, components, and application dependencies. To include switches, firewalls, load balancers, software defined networking, private cloud requirements, etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and provide ongoing support for the networking infrastructure within and between data centers.
  • Serve as the advanced subject matter expert for all data center network environments.
  • Create and maintain network infrastructure for both bare-metal and virtual machines with appropriate LAN, WAN, VLAN, SDN, firewall, and load balancer configurations using OEM and third-party tools, including virtual networking tools (e.g., NSX) and services.
  • Provision and configure required networking for servers and applications.
  • Evaluate, improve, and maintain information security throughout the data center network infrastructure.
  • Monitor and resolve network issues; develop recovery processes for failures and performance bottlenecks; provide real-time alerts for network issues; and implement proactive solutions for future problems, including redesigns and technology refreshes.
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain system management tools for all data center network components.
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of system and infrastructure availability.
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and collaborate with developers to implement fixes.
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts to improve system efficiency and reduce manual intervention for tasks such as automated provisioning of addresses and VLANs using Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
  • Provide Tier 4 support.
  • Coordinate with vendors and IT personnel to resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure technical documentation exists for all systems and remains current, including inventory and patch levels, hostnames, property numbers, IP addresses, enclaves, processor counts, core counts, administrative passwords, certificates, and service accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Provide real-time alerts and dashboard reporting on network performance and availability.
  • Document system configurations, including passwords, access controls, version and revision numbers, patch levels, inventory, hostnames, TCP/IP addresses, processor counts, core counts, memory, and license keys.
  • Continuously transfer knowledge to Government staff through training, mentoring, and operational assistance using industry best practices.
  • Provide real-time reporting of provisioned and non-provisioned resources, including bandwidth utilization, availability metrics, performance metrics, and trend analysis.

  • Minimum of Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or DevNet Associate certifications
  • 6+ years of experience
  • Experience with Application-Centric Infrastructure (ACI), Tetration, Multi-Site-Orchestrator (MSO), Network Assurance Engine (NAE), Network Services Orchestrator (NSO), Nexus Insights, and Digital Network Architecture Center (DNAC).
