Or, alternatively, Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Systems Engineer (or closely related occupation) performing CI/CD and Cloud development on a Kubernetes platform.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") designing CI/CD for .Net Windows, Java, and Container applications; designing pipelines and creating scripts for application deployments, roll backs, and configuration changes using GIT, Docker, and Jenkins; and providing application support using Splunk and Datadog.
  • DE designing adaptable solutions and automations in public and private Cloud -- RKS (Rancher), EKS (AWS), and AKS (Azure) -- using Python, Shell Scripting, Kubernetes, and Helm; and creating synthetic test and monitors using Catchpoint and Datadog.
  • DE performing Site Reliability Engineering - analyzing the observability, resiliency, availability, and performance of applications; creating dashboards to capture latency, availability, error, and saturation (performance) of applications using Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, and Datadog; and creating SLI/SLO dashboards and automated process to update changes and pushout new dashboards.
  • DE building, testing, migrating, upgrading, and maintaining infrastructure and tools - Windows, Linux, UDeploy, Terraform, and Kubernetes Cluster rehydration -- by designing pipelines in uDeploy and Jenkins using API Calls, PowerShell, Shell, and Python scripting; and participating in the software configuration management process -- code compilation, packaging, deployment, release methodology, and work item management using SNOW and application configurations.
