Job Description Summary:
The Supply Chain Analyst, Principal serves as the strategic liaison between supply chain operations, business stakeholders and leadership, and technical teams to lead enterprise-wide initiatives that optimize supply chain systems, processes, reporting and data analytics. The role is responsible for driving complex ERP and supply chain technology solutions, leading cross functional transformational projects, and providing advanced analytical and strategic support to improve operational efficiency, automation, decision making and organizational performance across procurement, inventory management, manufacturing, logistics and related supply chain functions.

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Serve as the principal function and technical lead for supply chain business systems, ERP processes, reporting and enterprise-wide supply chain initiatives.
  • Lead complex cross functional projects involving ERP enhancements, automation, systems integration, process optimization, and digital transformation efforts.
  • Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure that requirements are well understood and that end-user needs are met.
  • Review newly released application versions and patches delivered by software vendors for new functionality, improved features, and comparison to existing modifications.
  • Identify interdependencies between departments, divisions, systems and processes. Communicate changes requested by a business area or program to other areas, trying to achieve standardized processes for Draper whenever possible.
  • Analyze large and complex data sets to identify trends, operational risks, process inefficiencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement and communicate possible solutions to leadership.
  • Design and develop advanced dashboards, KPIs, SQL queries, reports, and data visualizations to support executive decision making and operational performance.
  • Translate business and mission requirements into functional specifications, technical requirements, system designs, workflows and implementation plans.
  • Lead user acceptance testing, implementation activities, training, change management, and post implementation support for new system functionality.
  • Work with stakeholders to refine deliverables if business requirements are not feasible with available technology or funding.
  • Develop and deploy queries and reports for end users to self-serve data requests from the system(s) of record and work with the appropriate technical team(s) to develop more advanced queries as needed.
  • Modify vendor application configuration to meet business requirements, perform testing and validation of configuration, and work with end users to implement changes in production environments.
  • Develop test cases and scripts in accordance with technical and functional requirements to validate that solutions meet end-user needs, including definition of expected results and/or performance metrics for all tests.

    • Functional requirements and specifications
    • Business process flows
    • Test Scripts/Test Plans
    • Application support procedures
  • Review and approve application security requests pertaining to Procurement and Property business functions.
  • Lead the quality assurance process including data integrity, unit testing, regression testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing for Procurement and Property business functions for application upgrades, product enhancements, and enhancements to related business processes.


Skills/Abilities
  • Advanced expertise in ERP systems, preferably Peoplesoft, including procurement, inventory management, MRP, manufacturing and MES functionality.
  • Expert level proficiency in SQL, data modeling, analytics, reporting architecture, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, SQL Server, Oracle, and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve highly complex business and technical problems and develop innovative, scalable solutions
  • Strong understanding of supply chain operations, financial analysis, strategic planning, and operational performance management.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications, workflows and systems solutions.
  • Proven experience leading high visibility, multidisciplinary projects with changing priorities and cross functional dependencies.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, problem solving, organizational and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently under consultative direction while exercising significant judgement and initiative.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to align technical teams and business stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.


Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field. Advanced degree preferred


Experience
  • 8 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, preferably in government acquisition.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is
$100,000.00 - $275,000.00

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
