Full Job Description

As the Principal, Strategy and Growth, you will partner closely with the Office of the CFO to solve complex business problems: ranging from strategic planning, business model transition, to M&A diligence and integration. You will support and work with executives directly to manage cross-functional projects and steer the teams towards deliverables that will shape the future of Cohesity. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and resourceful individual who excels at problem solving, and tackling the company's largest business challenges.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:
  • Be a critical member of the FP&A team, working closely with Cohesity executives on high priority initiatives
  • Lead initiatives and work across teams to inform decisions related to business strategy, annual planning, investment strategy, prioritization, and other ongoing business priorities, enabling insights and improving decision-making velocity
  • Proactively identify areas of opportunity for Cohesity from a strategic and operational perspective
  • Manage cross-functional project teams to structure complex business critical problems, develop clear hypotheses, conduct analyses, and provide recommendations through a data-driven process
  • Support M&A related diligence, including developing investment models, returns analysis, valuations, and exit scenarios. Develop executive level presentation materials related to strategic investments
  • Support M&A related integration efforts, working with cross-functional stakeholders on financial planning and synergy realization
  • Become an expert on Cohesity's business model and how it benchmarks against competitors in the market
  • Able to seamlessly transition from high-altitude / big picture to diving deep into details to uncover insights, perform financial and market analyses and synthesize a point of view to make recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Influence across all levels from the front lines to C-suite through effective communication and collaboration
  • Tackle ambiguous, open-ended questions, plus quickly develop and iterate to develop a solution

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. We encourage you to apply should you meet many of these requirements and have the ability and interest to develop the others.
  • 10+ years of related experience in business strategy, operations in tech companies, management consulting firms, or finance
  • A strong track record of delivering quantifiable business impact and running large corporate strategy and / or finance projects to desirable outcomes
  • Exceptional critical and creative thinking skills including evaluating risks and contingencies, developing structure in ambiguous situations, connecting the dots and demonstrated flexibility in accepting new ideas and pivoting as needed
  • Ability to identify patterns and synthesize disparate data to explain problems and propose recommendations
  • Experienced at breaking down problems to determine key questions/issues, diagnose the root causes, and creating realistic solutions that can be readily executed across the organization
  • Highly collaborative and comfortable working across teams cross-functionally. Ability to effectively partner, motivate and inspire stakeholders
  • Executive-ready communication and problem-framing/solving skills, including experience working directly with and advising members of the C-suite
  • Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment while seamlessly transitioning from high-level to a detailed view
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making

Disclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a starting pay range as listed below. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate's skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits framework, including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays and refresh days, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.

Pay Range :

$213,300.00-$237,000.00

The compensation noted above is based on an annualized hourly rate assuming normal full-time employment.

In-Office Expectations

Cohesity employees who are within a reasonable commute (e.g. within a forty-five (45) minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.
