DescriptionNorthrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal / Sr. Principal Engineer Systems to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.
Essential Functions:- The Principal / Sr. Principal Engineer Systems will perform Qualification Certification reviews, develop cross-IPT processes and frameworks, and coordinate with other IPTs & Customer counterparts for successful integration and verification on military aircraft platform in a fast-paced environment.
- This individual will collaborate with several stakeholders across distributed teams (capability experts, developers, system integrators, system testers, etc.) to support delivery of quality products.
Basic Qualifications for a Principal / Sr. Principal Engineer Systems:- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 / 8 years of experience in systems engineering OR Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 3 / 6 years of experience in systems engineering
- Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of management and individual contributors.
- Able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance
- Able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program access
- Well-versed, skilled, and disciplined in system engineering processes
Preferred Qualifications: - An active, In-scope DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance
- Previous or existing Program Access Request (PAR)
- Demonstrated technical leadership skills, decisiveness, and ability to make sound technical judgments with limited information.
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- JIRA/Confluence experience
- Experience with LRU Qualification
Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
