Overview:

The Principal Solution Architect is the technical owner for large-scale, strategic solutions-translating business requirements into scalable, secure, maintainable architectures. You will lead solution design across multiple programs, set architecture standards and patterns, guide technical trade-offs, and partner with product, engineering, security and operations teams to ensure successful delivery and long-term operational excellence.

What you'll do:

Implementation Activities
  • Lead discovery sessions to understand client business objectives, value drivers, process models, and data integration requirements.
  • Design and architect end-to-end supply chain solutions using the ONE RTVN platform, including inventory, supply, demand, and value analysis models.
  • Configure and implement supply chain solutions, including data modeling, forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply planning.
  • Guide and validate testing activities, solution analysis, and performance results to ensure business and technical requirements are met.
  • Deliver client and partner training, support go-live activities, and drive user adoption and value realization.
  • Partner with Project Leaders to manage scope, dependencies, timelines, and delivery milestones.
  • Provide functional leadership and coordination across cross-functional implementation teams.

Scope / Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a senior member of Blue Yonder's supply chain solutions implementation team, providing subject matter expertise and solution leadership.
  • Apply deep knowledge of supply chain management concepts, including demand forecasting, replenishment, inventory optimization, and supply planning.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, practical solutions that deliver operational and financial value.
  • Conduct business analysis, process design, requirements gathering, and solution advisory activities.
  • Analyze complex business and functional challenges and recommend appropriate solution approaches.
  • Leverage SQL and relational database knowledge to support solution design, validation, and analysis.
  • Quickly learn and apply new technologies, demonstrating strong analytical, technical, and mathematical aptitude.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, partners, and internal teams through clear written and verbal communication.
  • Lead functional discussions and influence decision-making with senior client stakeholders while maintaining a customer-focused, detail-oriented approach.


What we are looking for:
  • 10+ years of software development and systems engineering experience; minimum 5 years in solution or enterprise architecture roles
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems, microservices, or SaaS platforms
  • Hands-on knowledge of cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native patterns (serverless, containers, orchestration)
  • Strong expertise in APIs, integration patterns (messaging, event-driven, ETL), data modelling and storage choices
  • Deep understanding of security best practices, identity/access management, and compliance considerations
  • Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code (Terraform/ARM/CloudFormation), monitoring and observability tooling.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills; able to influence executives and technical teams
  • Proven ability to balance technical excellence with pragmatic, delivery-focused decision-making
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% to customer sites as needed.


Bonus Points if you have:
  • Advanced degree (MSc, MBA) or professional certifications (TOGAF, AWS/Azure/GCP architecture certs).
  • Experience in the industry relevant to the role (e.g., supply chain/logistics, fintech, healthcare, SaaS).
  • Familiarity with domain-driven design, event sourcing, CQRS, and streaming technologies (Kafka, Pulsar).
  • Prior experience working in Agile/DevOps organizations and contributing to platform roadmaps.


The annual salary range for this position is $167,075.96 - $216,924.03

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
