Citrix, a business unit of Cloud Software Group is currently looking forPrincipal Security Technology Strategiststo join our team in North America. Citrix (a business unit of Cloud Software Group) is significantly expanding investment and focus on our extensive application, zero trust network access, privileged remote access, enterprise browser, and AI security solutions.

The Principal Security Technology Strategist is a vital security resource for customers, partners, and fellow team members working together to solve business problems for the worlds largest companies. They use their extensive cyber security experience to collaborate with customers to improve their existing security posture using Citrixs platform.

The Security Technology Strategist will oversee the customer security teams journey from problem discovery through solution development and implementation. This includes guiding product development to implement customer requested enhancements throughout the customers journey.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Discuss security concerns and potential solutions clearly and concisely to an audience with varying levels of technical expertise from CISO to hands-on security practitioners
  • Provide security-focused guidance and strategy to sales teams
  • Assess the potential application of Citrix security solutions to meet customers business needs
  • Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations remotely or on-site
  • Design and build multi-product proof of concept solutions for customer evaluations and guide customers through adoption and expansion
  • Overcome technical and competitive objections while moving sales and adoption motions forward
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and resources to ensure customer success
  • Keep abreast of latest security strategies to inform and guide customers while shaping product requirements
  • Develop formal relationship networks with key customer decision-makers and contacts
  • Contribute to the broader technical sales teams success with the Citrix Platform and adoption of Citrix security solutions
  • Implements strategic goals established by functional leadership.
  • Establishes operational plans for the job area with short-to mid-term impact on product adoption and sales renewal results (e.g., 1-2 years).
  • Provides measurable input into new products, processes, standards and/or operational plans that will have some impact on the achievement of overall function results.
  • Responsible for improving upon existing processes and systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation.
  • Conducts extensive investigation to understand the root cause of problems.
  • Communicates with parties within and outside of its own job function, and typically has responsibilities for communicating with parties external to the organization, which may include customers or vendors.
  • Works to influence others to accept job functions view/practices and agree/accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
  • Often responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees across the Company within an area of expertise.
  • Responsible for managing large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of presales, sales engineer, solution engineer, field CTO, or consulting experience
  • 10+ years supporting, designing, or delivering enterprise cybersecurity solutions
  • Familiarity with application security, browser security, IAM, and ZTNA
  • Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity solutions and design best practices
  • Ability to adapt technical presentations to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise (e.g. IT administrators, directors, business stakeholders, and executives)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel to customer sites, corporate offices, and events

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science (or related field) or relevant work experience
  • Proven record of success in driving customer adoption of cybersecurity solutions
  • Hands on experience with data protection, digital forensics and incident management, web application security, networking, enterprise browser, remote access, Zero Trust, Identity Access Management (IAM), web proxy, role-based access control (RBAC), virtual desktops (e.g. VDI, DaaS), application delivery networking, virtual applications, server virtualization, endpoint management (e.g. MDM, MAM), observability, and/or security analytics.
  • Experience with public cloud and hyper-scalers including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform
  • Security Certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CCSP)
  • Understanding of cloud security standards such as NIST, CIS, CSA, etc.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Requires mastery level knowledge of the job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Requires a deep knowledge of project management.
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience; or Masters degree with 8 years; or PhD with 5 years of experience.
  • Recognized mastery in professional discipline and customer facing presentations
  • Implements strategic goals
  • Has a proven record of solving complex problems or ones that typically are undefined.

Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, and sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance. NY generally ranges: $182,713-$274,069 CA generally ranges: $208,293-$312,439 All other locations fall under our General State range: $182,713-$274,069 Benefits may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Cloud Software Group and the country where you work. U.S. based employees are typically offered access to healthcare, life insurance and disability benefits, 401(k) plan and company match, among others.
