Job Title: Principal Resource Planning Manager

Intuitive Machines is currently seeking an experienced and collaborative Principal Resource Planning Manager who will be part of a team in Palo Alto, CA, primarily responsible for the front-end program Resource Planning (RPM) of a commercial or government program. The RPM is the main conduit to the program for schedule and associated risk management.

The Principal Resource Planning Manager is responsible for ensuring comprehensive program planning, schedule development, execution and ownership. As a key contributor to a strong, agile, and motivated team, you are action oriented and comfortable with managing complexity and ambiguity. You bring stakeholders from every part of the company together, facilitate discussion and resolve differences. You effectively interface with executives, programs managers and functional managers from proposal through program build and test. This includes supporting proposals, front end planning, schedule development, detailed project analyses, conflict resolution and management of spacecraft critical paths.
Job Description:
  • Be the spacecraft program focal point for Supply Chain and Material need dates and plans to meet contract deliverables
  • As the spacecraft schedule expert, identify and elevate program risks and create management plans in concert with PMOs and upper management
  • Lead regular and detailed collaboration with subsystem functional managers and Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads to track and identify late handoffs and deliveries that may affect spacecraft schedule
  • Communicate, both internally to management and externally to customers as appropriate, schedule status and issues to ensure appropriate management & cross-functional team's response to supplier delivery challenges
  • Coordinate with other PMOs and RPMs for internal resource conflicts and communicate critical path implications to support optimum facility usage
  • Act as focal point for Business Development for various concurrent proposal schedules for IM 300 and IM 1300 product lines; identifying critical path analysis, providing factory loading charts, and possible impact from other ongoing proposals
  • Lead Risk Assessment Tool (RAT) discussions as proposals become new program awards
  • Understand and continuously improve RPM processes and provide strong and timely communication to key stakeholders across the company wide
  • Create, maintain, and communicate detailed spacecraft Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), ensuring the satellite team is aware of tasks and deadlines, including resource identification and acquisition
  • Assist PMO, SCM and other CAMs with WBS alignment of tasks and resources for monthly financial updates


Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and be willing and able to obtain a U.S. government security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline or STEM field
  • Minimum of 15 years of engineering or technical program management; a Master's degree counts as 2 years of work experience
  • Cost Account Management (CAM) and Work Breakdown structure (WBS) experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills with ability to distill relevant information for the audience
  • Record of implementing innovative methods that resulted in cost savings to the customer
  • Must be willing to work flexible and/or extended hours to meet the needs of the role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, or a comparable scheduling software platform


Preferred Requirements:
  • Master's degree in engineering, business, or related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent, certification
  • Proficiency in using financial software for planning, budgeting, and forecasting and familiarity with earned value management
  • Work onsite, or if remote be able to travel onsite quarterly
  • Experience with spacecraft components and build processes
  • Ability to influence effectively
  • Experience transitioning products from design to manufacturing as part of a cross-functional team
  • Demonstrated capability to solve complex problems with little to no supervision on schedule as an individual or as a member of an integrated team using appropriate problem-solving tools
  • Experience and/or certification with statistical process control such as Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience with SSI Analysis or equivalent report tool

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
• The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $131,000.00 - $219,000.00 annually.• The base pay for this position within New Jersey is: $131,000.00 - $219,000.00 annually.• The base pay for this position within Delaware is: $131,000.00 - $219,000.00 annually.• The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $145,000.00 - $241,000.00 annually.• The base pay for this position within California is: $151,000.00 - $251,000.00 annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
