Through disciplined analysis of cash flows, NPV, IRR, valuation drivers, and scenario and sensitivity outcomes, you will support stage-gate decisions, capital allocation, and portfolio prioritization. Your work will strengthen the consistency, transparency, and governance of project economics, enabling leadership to make informed decisions on the most value-accretive opportunities.
As part of the team, you will- Build, maintain, and enhance project financial models to evaluate capital projects across study stages
- Partner with technical and project teams to translate mine plans, schedules, and engineering study inputs into cash flow forecasts and valuation outputs
- Conduct scenario, sensitivity, and downside-case analysis to assess value drivers, economic risks, and investment trade-offs
- Support stage-gate reviews and investment decisions with clear analysis of NPV, IRR, payback, and other project economics metrics
- Collaborate across finance, technical services, and project development teams to support capital allocation and portfolio prioritization decisions
- Prepare clear, decision-ready materials that communicate project value, risks, assumptions, and trade-offs to leadership and governance forums
Prerequisites for your success in this role- Proven experience in project evaluation and planning on large-scale projects (mining, infrastructure, or oil & gas)
- Degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify system-level trends
- Expertise in stochastic modeling and Crystal Ball
- Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Self-awareness, adaptability, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Your work environmentYou will work in a highly collaborative, global environment, partnering with project leaders, engineers, and technical experts across regions. This role requires engagement with both internal stakeholders and external advisors, contributing to a culture that values safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
The preferred location for candidates is near our corporate headquarters, in Denver, Colorado; or in the Vancouver, BC Canada area will be considered.
Collaboration and interaction are expected with teams across the global, regional, and site organization as well as across other service and operational areas of Newmont across multiple time zones.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $143,200- 214,725. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance. This role also will be eligible for participation in a discretionary long-term incentive program, pursuant to which an employee may receive awards based on their level and individual performance.
