Full Job Description
As a Product Sales Engineer at MKS Inc., you will meet customer needs while promoting the company's brand, product offerings, and capabilities. In this role, you will enhance customer experience by partnering with cross-functional product teams to design and manufacture solutions for commercial sales opportunities, helping to gain market share and increase profitability. In this role, you will report to the Director of Product Sales Engineer. You Will Make an Impact By: • Supporting Product Line Managers, Core Account Managers, and Territory Sales Managers by participating in prospecting and account-penetration activities to grow the business. • Collaborating with customers to understand their requirements through consultative selling and delivering value-based solutions. • Working with Territory Sales Manager and Core Account Managers to manage and maintain the orders pipeline and opportunities in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. • Traveling to customer sites to support Core Account Managers and Territory Sales Managers in winning new business, supporting newly won programs, and sustaining existing business. • Identifying, collecting, and sharing sales best practices, customer requirements, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement. • Solving day-to-day customer and application issues by interfacing with functional areas across multiple levels of the company. • Building strong relationships with customers at multiple levels and with internal functional groups. Skills You Bring: • Bachelor's degree in Photonics-related field (Physics, Engineering, Applied Science). • 5+ years of demonstrated success in a customer-facing role. • Experience with Photonics Industry desirable. • Strong critical-thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Excellent attention to detail, time-management skills, and communication abilities. • Effective negotiating skills. Compensation and Benefits: • Total Compensation: Salary Range: ($120,000.00 - 160,000.00) & Incentive Payment: ($30,000 - 60,000). This range is a good faith estimate of the expected total compensation for this position (base salary plus variable sales compensation), based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role. • Incentive Payment: A percentage of your total compensation is tied to participation in a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) and is earned by your achievement of pre-established targets, pursuant to the terms of the SIP.
