Job Title: Principal Product Manager
Job Duties: Define product vision and roadmap for data security solutions including data discovery, classification, and protection across cloud and enterprise environments. Gather and document business and technical requirements through collaboration with customers, internal stakeholders, and market research. Translate requirements into detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Partner with engineering teams to prioritize features, manage trade-offs, and support product delivery through the full development lifecycle. Conduct competitive analysis and evaluate industry trends in data security, cloud computing, and enterprise software markets. Support go-to-market initiatives including positioning, product messaging, and sales enablement materials. Monitor product performance metrics and customer feedback to inform continuous improvements. Engage with enterprise customers to understand data protection, regulatory, and security requirements.
Position permits telecommuting from within the U.S.
Required education: Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
Required experience: 60 months of progressive experience as Senior Product Manager, Principal Product Manager, or related occupation.
Additional minimum requirements: progressive work experience to include at least 60 months in the following:
1. Strategic product management tied to goals, objectives, metrics, and outcomes;
2. Agile, Scrum, APIs, distributed systems, JIRA;
3. Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace;
4. Data loss prevention (DLP), encryption methods, access control mechanisms;
5. Data analysis and reporting techniques used to interpret market trends and competitor activities.
