Full Job Description
About The Team

Life360 serves 95M+ monthly active members across every life stage, every time zone, and every type of relationship. Each member opens the app for a different reason: parents checking a teenager's commute, a partner tracking an ETA, a grandparent staying connected to family across the country. The opportunity is to make the experience each of them sees actually reflect that-personalized, contextual, and relevant to their family in that moment.

The Product Builder, Orchestration is the product voice behind the system that makes that personalization real. It decides in real time what each member sees when they open Life360 based on all available signals and meeting what the moment demands. That system is the Orchestrator, and building it is one of the most consequential opportunities at Life360 in 2026
About the Job

You'll be a core contributor to the Orchestrator layer-the real-time, contextual decisioning system that assembles Life360's interface dynamically for each member and each session. This is the personalization layer that determines which components surface and in what order, drawing on signals from the real world, past behaviors, family context, member history, and content and intelligence from partner teams across the company who all need representation in a constrained surface area. You're joining a focused team with work already underway, and your job is to accelerate and shape where it goes.

The technical challenge is real: building a modular, algorithmic content layer with a unified member data model, feedback loops, and measurable outcomes. The organizational challenge is equally real. Teams across Life360 will need to align around a shared model, contribute their intelligence and content to a common platform, and trust th at the system serves the company's shared goals and the member in equal measure. Building that buy-in is core to this role.

The US-based salary range for this position is $178,500 to $261,500. The Canada-based salary range for this position is 207k - 242k CAD. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.
What You'll Do
  • Orchestrator system design and roadmap. Partnering with engineering, design, and data science to shape the real-time layer that decides what each member sees-per session, per context-based on who they are and what their family is doing right now.
  • Measurement framework. Working with stakeholders across the business to define and align on the north star metric, driver metrics, and objective function that guide every decisioning tradeoff the Orchestrator makes-and ensuring that framework can evolve as business context changes. This is the shared language that keeps the organization and the system optimizing for the same outcomes.
  • Content ingestion architecture. Working with partner teams across the company to define how they contribute to the Orchestrator without competing for fixed placements-and helping drive the alignment that makes a shared model stick.
  • Member context model. Collaborating with data science, engineering, and partner teams to define the signals and profile data that power real-time decisioning: time of day, location context, family state, behavioral history.
  • Delivery surfaces and content templates. Working within Life360's existing in-app UI patterns to ensure the Orchestrator can deliver content effectively across the surfaces already built-and flagging gaps where new templates or surfaces are needed to unlock the next layer of personalization.
  • Feedback loops. Contributing to how engagement and display data flows back to upstream systems to improve decisioning over time.
  • Stakeholder operating model. Helping translate competing team priorities into weighted inputs to a shared system-and serving as an educator and evangelist to partner teams on what the Orchestrator is, what it can do, and how to build with it.
What We're Looking For
Systems depth
  • You've built-or redesigned-a personalization or content orchestration system before, not just shipped features on top of one. You understand ML-driven content ranking, modular UI architecture, and what it means to replace fixed placement logic with algorithmic decisioning. You can talk fluently about signals, weights, feedback loops, and what "good" looks like when you can't directly observe every individual decision the system makes.
Organizational muscle
  • You've worked on a surface that had become a resource allocation problem and helped fix it. You know what it feels like when a stakeholder tells you their campaign needs the top slot because of a deal they've struck-and you know how to move that conversation from ownership to user value without losing the relationship. You help build shared mental models before the team builds systems. Alignment doesn't happen in one meeting, and you don't expect it to.
AI-native - hard requirement
  • Life360 is an AI-native company. That means entire workflows managed by semi-autonomous systems, with humans setting direction and intervening at the decision points that require judgment. This role operates in that model-not as an aspiration, but as a baseline.
  • You direct AI-driven execution across the full product development lifecycle. Research synthesis, spec drafting, experiment analysis, and status reporting run autonomously. Your time goes to strategy, user insight, stakeholder alignment, and building the reusable workflows that compound over time. You're comfortable operating across functional boundaries, think in outcomes, and treat every successful AI workflow as infrastructure for the next one.
Vision instinct
  • You don't just execute a roadmap-you have a point of view on where this is going. You can hold the technical detail of content ingestion architecture in one hand and a magical end user experience in the other, and make decisions that serve both. You've driven at least one initiative per year that produced material, company-level impact-not a 2% lift, but a result that changed the shape of a core metric.
What Success Looks Like
3 months
  • A shared mental model of the Orchestrator-what it is, what it optimizes for, what it isn't-is established across partner teams company-wide. That includes alignment on the measurement framework: the north star metric, driver metrics, and how the objective function can evolve as business context changes. This clarity is the foundation for both the organization and the systems to optimize for the same outcomes. The first modular content layer is in production, with server-side configurability enabling audience-targeted experiences on at least one core surface.
6 months
  • The Orchestrator is a functioning system with measurable lift in L5+ engagement and action rate on delivered content. Content from multiple upstream teams flows through a unified ingestion model. The feedback loop to the Composer lifecycle layer is operational and actively improving decisioning.
1 year
  • No two members see the same Life360. The Orchestrator is the platform layer that makes Family AI real at the interface level-assembling a contextually relevant experience for every member, every session, without anyone having to navigate to find it.
Our Benefits
  • Competitive pay and benefits
  • Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans (100% paid for employees)
  • 401(k) plan with company matching program
  • Mental Wellness Program & Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental well-being
  • Flexible PTO, 13 company-wide days off throughout the year
  • Winter and Summer Weeklong Synchronized Company Shutdowns
  • Learning & Development programs
  • Equipment, tools, and reimbursement support for a productive remote environment
  • Free Life360 Platinum Membership for your preferred circle
  • Free Tile Products
