Full Job Description
Leads and facilitates the successful execution of contractor and supplier Piping engineering work starting in the early project development phases through the project Execution phase. Coordinates the execution of engineering scopes with the functional E&C Engineering team and all other discipline engineering teams. Ensures compliance with project specifications, Company guidelines and philosophies, and maintains the technical integrity of the engineering throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Leads and facilitates technical development of LNG and energy infrastructure projects. May be assigned to Contractor office(s) serving as the Company representative for certain phases of the project.
  • Leads or participates in 3D model design reviews, HAZID / HAZOP reviews, and similar other engineering design presentations or reviews.
  • Serves as the Company's primary representative within industry workgroups and consortia.
  • Travels as needed to project sites, supplier facilities, contractor offices or industry conferences serving as the Company representative to conduct reviews, inspections, witness testing, and perform technical assessments or deliver presentations.
  • Ensures engineering projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Oversees in-depth assessments of system breakdowns and develops corrective actions.
  • Guides the design and commissioning of large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Conducts high-level engineering assessments for major expansion or modernization projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
  • Engineering Design - A series of steps that engineers follow to find a solution to a problem.
  • Engineering Blueprint/Schematics Interpretation - Reading Engineering drawings and understanding the ideas and information that they are intended to communicate.
  • Root Cause Analysis - The process of discovering the root causes of problems in order to identify appropriate solutions.
  • Regulatory Compliance - Ensuring an organization's adherence to laws, regulations, guidelines and specifications relevant to its business processes.
  • Safety Management - The systematic approach to uphold occupational health and safety, and environmental protection expectations, along with a working knowledge of process safety and its application to design and function.
  • Project/Program Management - The process of leading the work of a team to achieve goals and meet success criteria at a specified time.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experienced with interpretation and application of international industry codes and standards (ASME B31.3, NFPA 59A, NOM013ASEA2021, EN 1473, API, ASTM, ISO, and others).
  • Demonstrated history managing scopes of work for piping engineering and design teams to complete assigned tasks and deliverables using industry standard software tools such as Smart® Review, Navisworks, Caesar II®, Ansys, NozzlePRO, etc.
  • Deep knowledge of AIV and FIV principles and screening, including latest industry trends to mitigate these phenomena.
  • Uses strong technical writing and communications to develop and update standards and specifications for piping engineering design, materials, fabrication, installation, and testing. Actively participates in industry standards committees such as API, ASME, PIP, or other.
Education/Experience:
  • Requires a 4-year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Requires 10+ years of related experience.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
