Principal Originator, Energy & Data Center Infrastructure 30/06/2026 Job Description: We are hiring a Principal Originator, Energy & Data Center Infrastructure to join our team in MRES-ET division based in Calgary, Canada. As a Principal Originator, Energy & Data Centers, you will responsible for originating, structuring, and advancing bankable power offtake agreements and integrated energy solutions for corporate customers, data center operators, utilities, and energy market participants. The role focuses on renewable generation, battery energy storage systems (BESS), large-load power solutions, and bundled energy and environmental attribute products. Your role will encompass: • Originate, qualify, and advance commercial opportunities across renewable energy, battery storage, thermal generation, and integrated power solutions • Develop new business relationships with utilities, corporate clients, data center developers, industrial customers, and other strategic partners • Lead the commercial structuring and negotiation of PPAs, virtual PPAs, tolling agreements, energy services agreements, and other complex energy transactions • Design commercial solutions that align customer needs with the company's generation, storage, and energy infrastructure capabilities • Assess commercial, regulatory, operational, and contractual risks and incorporate appropriate mitigation strategies into transaction structures • Evaluate market trends and commercial opportunities, supporting portfolio growth and identifying new revenue streams • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, development, finance, legal, regulatory, and executive teams to drive projects from origination to commercial close • Present commercial recommendations and transaction strategies to senior leadership and support due diligence, negotiations, financing, and investment approvals What you bring to the role: • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or related field.
