Principal Engineer - Axial Piston Pumps

This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer who has spent years solving complex technical problems to step into a Principal-level role where that expertise carries real weight. You won't be limited to one small part of the engineering process. You'll influence products from development and testing through manufacturing, validation, and continuous improvement.
You'll serve as a technical authority, work alongside experienced engineering teams, influence major technical decisions, and help shape the next generation of aerospace solutions.
What you'll do:
• Lead complex engineering assignments involving products, processes, materials, and equipment
• Apply advanced engineering principles to solve challenging technical problems
• Conduct advanced analysis, testing, and validation of new and modified designs
• Evaluate technical feasibility, performance, cost, resources, and business impact
• Provide expert guidance on manufacturing methods, materials, and system performance
• Lead technical projects and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
• Develop recommendations and present technical findings to leadership and customers
• Research and implement emerging technologies and engineering methods
• Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes and capabilities
• Serve as a technical consultant and subject matter expert
• Mentor engineers and help transfer technical knowledge across teams
What you'll need:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical/Electronics, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Hands-on experience working with axial piston pumps
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, systems design, and manufacturing processes
• Experience leading technical projects, engineering analysis, or product development
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to leadership and customers
• Experience mentoring engineers or technical teams
• Aerospace experience preferred
