Job Description

Mission Technologies is looking for a Principal Electronic Surveillance (ELSUR) Collection Software Engineer for an exciting opportunity.

A Principal ELSUR Collection Software Engineer is a senior-level technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software systems used in digital collection systems-particularly those supporting law enforcement and ELSUR (Electronic Surveillance) operations.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Software engineering or related field and 12-15+ years of relevant experience
  • Masters degree in software engineering or related field and 10-13+ years of relevant experience
  • PhD in software engineering or related field and 8-10+ years of relevant experience
  • 12 YOE as a software, application engineer, or developer on computer and database management systems
  • Competence in business application design, database management, and use of programming languages, (C#, C++, Perl, Python, Java Script)
  • Experience in session initiation protocol
  • Must hold active TS/SCI Clearance


Preferred Requirements

  • Prior experience with FBI ELSUR Program
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a close team environment
  • Previous leadership experience or willingness to lead and mentor others
  • BS Degree in Software engineering or related field & 12 YOE
  • Master's degree in software engineering or related field & 10 YOE
  • PhD Degree in Software engineering or related field & 8 YOE
