About the RoleMcKesson is seeking a
Principal Director, M&A IT Integration & Technology Transformation to lead the technology strategy, due diligence, integration planning, and execution of complex mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and carve-outs for ERP, Finance and HR technologies. This role partners closely with executive stakeholders, business leaders, finance teams, and technology organizations to evaluate acquisition opportunities, identify value creation initiatives, and ensure seamless integration of acquired businesses.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in M&A transactions, enterprise technology integration, financial analysis, synergy realization, and risk management within highly complex organizations.
What You'll Do- Lead Enterprise Application related activities in IT due diligence activities for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic investments.
- Develop integration and separation strategies, roadmaps, and execution plans for complex transactions.
- Lead ERP, Finance and HR technology due diligence activities, including assessment of target application landscapes, process fit, integration complexity, data dependencies, technical debt, vendor contracts, resource requirements, and integration risks.
- Define and manage the ERP and Finance Technology integration workstream plan across pre-close planning, Day 1 readiness, early integration, transformation, and full integration phases
- Partner with Finance, Corporate Development, Legal, Cybersecurity, HR, and business leaders to define synergy targets and value creation initiatives.
- Build executive-level presentations and communicate transaction status, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
- Establish governance structures, integration management processes, and decision-making frameworks.
- Identify and manage transaction-related technology, operational, regulatory, and cybersecurity risks.
- Drive post-close integration execution and synergy realization to achieve business objectives.
Basic Requirements- 13+ years of experience in technology program management, M&A integrations, corporate development support, or enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Experience leading IT due diligence efforts for acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, or carve-out transactions.
- Strong experience with enterprise ERP platforms, Finance and HR Technology.
- Experience developing and executing enterprise-scale integration or separation plans.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management experience with executive leadership, Finance, Legal, Corporate Development, and technology teams.
- Experience performing financial analysis, business case development, synergy identification, and investment planning.
- Experience developing risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and governance frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Skills/Experience- Experience managing multiple concurrent M&A transactions within Fortune 500 organizations.
- Knowledge of enterprise applications, cloud platforms, infrastructure, cybersecurity, ERP, and data management environments.
- Experience supporting transaction lifecycle activities from diligence through post-close integration.
- Familiarity with TSA planning, Day 1 readiness, Day 100 planning, and carve-out execution.
- Strong executive communication, negotiation, and influence skills.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, Prosci, or equivalent.
- Healthcare, healthcare technology, pharmaceutical, or distribution industry experience preferred.
Travel, Location & Physical Requirements- Ability to travel up to 25% based on transaction and integration needs.
- Hybrid work arrangement with periodic onsite participation for executive meetings, transaction planning workshops, and integration activities.
Standard office environment with extended periods of computer use and virtual collaboration.
Working ConditionsFlex & Connect work model with a requirement to be in the office two (2) days per week.
