Full Job Description
This role is the Digital Design Engineer and Chip Lead for advanced PHY prototypes. You will own the digital architecture and integration of a full chip, guiding it from early definition through tape-out. Your leadership will anchor a cross-discipline team and directly shape how new interface ideas are proven and scaled.
Responsibilities:
• Define chip-level digital architecture and integrate hard macros with soft IP
• Own RTL design for control logic, registers, clocking control, and top-level integration
• 10+ years of digital or ASIC design experience with prior chip or design lead ownership
• Expert proficiency in SystemVerilog RTL and digital design best practices
• Experience with synthesis and timing using industry tools such as DC, Genus, PrimeTime, or Tempus
• Proven ability to lead integration across teams and own outcomes end to end
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with high-speed PHY or SerDes-adjacent architectures
• Familiarity with DFT planning, scan insertion, or boundary scan for I/O-heavy designs
• Experience integrating mixed-signal hard IP and third-party soft IP
• Background in small, fast-moving teams with broad technical ownership
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$206,000.00 - $410,000.00 a year
Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
