DescriptionPLEX Solutions, A Part of Markon, is looking for a Principal Data Scientist to support a contract in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.
- Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
- Plans and leads major technology assignments.
- Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
- Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
- May supervise others
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines for enterprise AI applications including defining appropriate data model concepts
- Develop high-performance data parsers for extremely large and complex datasets
- Implement and manage various database systems, including graph, SQL, NoSQL, and vector databases
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and data scientists to understand data requirements and optimize data access and retrieval for AI models
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data storage solutions
- Support the deployment and maintenance of AI applications by providing expert data engineering capabilities
- Familiarity with AI concepts in the context of data storage, access, and retrieval
- Continuously optimize data infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI W/ Polygraph
Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 8 years of experience; an advanced degree will be considered in lieu of years of experience
Proficient in Python
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with end-to-end workflows/projects
3+ years of Defensive Cyber Operations experience
3+ years of Machine Learning techniques and statistical model evaluation
Desired Skills:
- Master's degree in relevant field and 4 years of experience
- Demonstrated expertise with R or Python, and SQL to manipulate data and draw insights from large and small data sets
- Exposure to AWS (Amazon Web Services), Cisco (CCNA), and/or STIGs/IAVA, Big Data Platform (BDP)
- Strong background and skills in Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL)/Windows/Virtual environments
- A problem solver who can get in, be given a project, and use engineering skills to determine a solution
- Jupyter Notebooks, Network Analysis Tools
Salary RangeUSD $150,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
