What you will be doing:

The Principal Data Intelligence Analyst (Pharmacy Lead) serves as a strategic partner and primary analytics resource for pharmacy clients, leaders, clinicians, and designated staff. This role focuses on understanding pharmacy operations, supporting client needs, translating business requirements into actionable insights, and delivering high-value reporting and analytics solutions across the organization.

The ideal candidate combines strong pharmacy operations and client-support experience with the ability to work comfortably with data, reporting tools, and technical teams. Technical experience with SQL, Python, artificial intelligence, and Epic Willow is beneficial, but the primary emphasis is on pharmacy domain expertise, stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, and successful delivery of pharmacy analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for pharmacy clients, operational leaders, pharmacists, clinicians, and other end users.
  • Lead client engagement, discovery sessions, and consensus-building activities to understand pharmacy reporting and analytics needs.
  • Translate pharmacy workflows, operational challenges, and business questions into clear data, reporting, and analytics requirements.
  • Support pharmacy operations through analysis of medication utilization, dispensing, inventory, formulary management, medication access, clinical services, financial performance, quality, and efficiency measures.
  • Lead strategic pharmacy analytics and reporting projects from initial concept through requirements documentation, development, testing, deployment, training, and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with report developers, data engineers, IT teams, pharmacy leaders, and other cross-functional partners to deliver reliable and usable solutions.
  • Provide quality assurance, data validation, reconciliation, issue investigation, and end-user support for pharmacy reports and dashboards.
  • Use data from internal and external sources to analyze complex pharmacy and operational problems and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on pharmacy reporting systems, tools, workflows, and performance measures.
  • Mentor peers and demonstrate leadership on complex initiatives as needed.

*Prefer someone living locally or willing to relocate to LA area, but open to remote in Approved States: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, Nevada, Oregon, Texas*

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

Ten (10) plus years of experience in pharmacy analytics, pharmacy operations, healthcare analytics, business analysis, data analysis, client support, or a related field.

Demonstrated experience supporting pharmacy clients, pharmacy leaders, pharmacists, clinicians, or healthcare operations teams.

Strong understanding of pharmacy workflows, processes, performance measures, and operational challenges.

Experience facilitating requirements-gathering sessions, performance-improvement initiatives, reporting projects, or quantitative analyses.

Demonstrated ability to manage the full analytics delivery lifecycle, including business and clinical understanding, requirements documentation, data analysis, testing, deployment, training, and end-user support.

Ability to communicate effectively with pharmacy stakeholders and translate between business needs and technical requirements.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Health Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

A PharmD, master's degree, pharmacy informatics experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
