Job PostingPrincipal Enterprise Solution ArchitectFull Time - Office Hybrid - Plano, TX LocationPosition OverviewThe Principal Enterprise Solution Architect is the senior-most architectural authority responsible for defining the end-to-end enterprise architecture of WIS's next-generation SaaS and data intelligence platform. You will drive technical strategy, design scalable and secure multi-tenant architectures, and ensure the platform can support real-time data ingestion, governed analytics, enterprise integrations, and AI/ML workloads.
You will partner with executives, product leaders, engineering teams, and customers to translate business goals into actionable architectural roadmaps. You will lead modernization efforts, guide cloud and data strategy, and ensure the platform is resilient, extensible, and aligned with long-term business growth.
This role requires a seasoned architect who can operate at enterprise scale-balancing strategic vision with hands-on technical depth.
Position Responsibilities- Define Enterprise Architecture Strategy across cloud, data, application services, integrations, and AI/ML enablement; translate business goals into multi?year architectural roadmaps.
- Architect Scalable, Secure, Multi?Tenant SaaS Platforms including microservices, event-driven systems, APIs, and real-time data flows on Azure/AWS/GCP.
- Lead Modernization & Cloud Migration Initiatives, transitioning legacy or monolithic systems into cloud-native, service-oriented architectures with minimal operational risk.
- Establish Governance, Security & Standards for scalability, reliability, IAM, compliance (SOC2, GDPR), observability, and cost optimization.
- Engage Executives, Customers & Partners as a trusted technical advisor-leading architecture workshops, influencing product roadmaps, and guiding high-stakes technical decisions.
- Provide Cross-Functional Technical Leadership, partnering with engineering, product, SRE, and data teams to ensure cohesive platform evolution and unblock complex architectural challenges.
- Mentor Senior Engineers & Drive Architectural Excellence, promoting reusable patterns, reference architectures, and best practices across the engineering organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications- 10+ years in enterprise architecture, platform engineering, or large-scale distributed systems; 5+ years designing SaaS, multi-tenant, cloud-native architectures.
- Deep expertise in Azure, AWS, or GCP, including compute, networking, IAM, security, and cost governance.
- Strong technical foundation in microservices, Kubernetes, event-driven systems, APIs, and IaC (Terraform).
- Experience with data platforms, streaming systems, and lakehouse architectures; understanding of AI/ML platform requirements is a plus.
- Proven success leading modernization and cloud migration initiatives at enterprise scale.
- Demonstrated ability to influence executives, guide senior engineers, and drive architectural strategy across multiple teams.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
