We are seeking a Principal Architect, Cloud & Application Transformation to lead the evolution of our application ecosystem—modernizing legacy platforms, accelerating cloud adoption, and enabling next-generation, AI-driven capabilities.
This role blends strategic architecture leadership with hands-on engineering and is responsible for driving application-to-cloud transformation (App Cloud) across the enterprise.
This is a high-impact, onsite role in Overland Park, KS, partnering with executive leadership, engineering, and product teams.
Must be onsite within our Overland Park, KS office location.
What Youll Do- Lead cloud and application transformation strategy including App Cloud initiatives
- Drive modernization using microservices, APIs, and event-driven architecture
- Lead design reviews, code reviews, and architecture decisions
- Develop prototypes and reference architecture
- Architect solutions across AWS
- Mentor other engineers and architects
- Champion AI/ML and data-driven engineering approaches
- Partner with executive leadership on technology strategy
- Guide SDLC architecture standards and governance
Required Qualifications- Experience as Principal or Lead Architect in enterprise environments
- Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
- Experience with .NET, C#, distributed systems
- Track record leading modernization initiatives
- Proven success with application-to-cloud transformations
- Strong stakeholder communication and influence
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- Must be on site in Overland Park, KS
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Java, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes
- Healthcare or regulated industry experience
- Experience with AI/ML or LLM integration
- Cloud certifications
