We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Systems Engineer supporting one of our premier programs within the Space Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (SISR) business unit, where your knowledge of requirements development, architecture and design elaboration, systems engineering analysis, script development, interface definition and control will be put to good use. The work is on-site in Aurora, CO.
What You Will Do
• Elaborate capabilities and features, define system interfaces, and help determine how system functionality and performance will be validated and verified by the test team
• Analyze and define system behavior through use case development and functional decomposition
• Support execution of the integration and test program by automating test procedures and performing subsequent analysis activities
• Plan and execute regression testing across deliverable releases, incorporating automation to improve efficiency, coverage, and predictability
• Investigate system anomalies, perform root cause analysis, and support corrective actions
• Support and participate in technical reviews, technical interchanges, and customer-facing discussions
• Collaborate with systems, software, integration, and test teams to ensure successful program execution
• Work within a closed area lab environment in Aurora, Colorado
Qualifications You Must Have
• Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
• Experience with systems engineering lifecycle roles and functions, including one or more of the following: Concept of Operations (ConOps) development, capability and feature elaboration and management, functional analysis, or interface definition and control
• Experience supporting development efforts on a government contract
• Experience with Agile principles, including Agile systems engineering practices and/or Agile roles
• Active and transferable U.S. government-issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
• Experience in mission management large-scale ground systems, satellite ground systems, or space-based ISR platforms
• Experience working in an Agile development environment and with Agile development tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or similar requirements databases
• Experience supporting systems integration, verification, and validation activities

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate27s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
