What You'll Do

As a Primary Therapist, you'll be at the heart of our clinical team, conducting assessments, crafting personalized treatment plans, and facilitating engaging individual, family, and group therapies.

Hours for this role are Monday - Friday, days

Essential Duties:
  • Family Communication Champion: Be the go-to clinical contact for families, ensuring proactive and open communication that fosters trust and collaboration.
  • Therapy Facilitator Extraordinaire: Lead dynamic individual, family, and group therapy sessions using Newport Healthcare's innovative clinical model and Attachment-Based Family Therapy techniques.
  • Crisis Management Specialist: Conduct risk or crisis assessments and provide timely interventions and management as needed, ensuring our clients feel supported and safe.
  • Team Player: Join weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision sessions to share insights and collaborate with your colleagues.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field or enrollment in Doctorate program from an accredited or state approved graduate school required.
  • MN License in Marriage Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or Clinical Psychologist.
  • Non-licensed candidates will be considered for a non-exempt role and require a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related therapeutic field is required. If your degree is in a closely related field and you are pursuing an LPCC, you must demonstrate that your education meets the coursework requirements of the license, either through your own comparison or an unofficial review with the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy.
  • Experience with individual, family, and/or group therapy with young adults/adolescents
  • Experience with mental health, substance abuse, eating disorders, or trauma-informed treatment preferred.

Compensation for a licensed therapist ranges from $77,000 - $100,000 depending on education, licensure and experience. Non-licensed therapist compensation ranges from $37-$44 an hour.
