Basic Function

The Primary Care Physician (MD or DO) serves as a cornerstone of the clinical team, providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals and families. This role blends expertise in family and internal medicine with a proactive approach to preventive health, disease management, and wellness education. The physician will assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of medical conditions. Through collaborative care planning, clear communication, and evidence-based practice, the physician ensures continuity of care and contributes to the overall health outcomes of a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population; conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients across all age groups
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions with evidence-based protocols
  • Provide preventive care including screenings, immunizations, patient education, and lifestyle counseling
  • Collaborate with behavioral health and specialty providers to ensure continuity of care
  • Refer patients appropriately and follow up on external consultations and diagnostics
  • Engage in practice-wide initiatives to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency
  • Monitor and respond to population health metrics and patient satisfaction data
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation; uphold HIPAA and ethical standards in all patient interactions
