What You'll Do:- Maximize business success by delivering accurate, realistic, and compliant pricing models that win new work and protect program margins.
- Lead Proposal Strategy: Direct the development of new business proposals, Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates, and program change proposals. You will be the primary architect of the pricing strategy, ensuring all cost volumes meet both company standards and stringent government regulatory requirements.
- Drive Technical Excellence: Act as the functional pricing expert by developing and enhancing cost estimating processes, tools, and Cost Estimating Relationships (CERs).
- Negotiation & Audit Support: Serve as a key resource during customer fact-finding missions and negotiations. You will lead the preparation of negotiation support packages, conduct cost realism evaluations, and defend pricing positions during internal and external audits (such as DCAA or DCMA).
- Financial Analysis & Optimization: Perform sophisticated financial modeling, including walk/bridge analysis, cash flow analysis, and ad hoc financial analysis needed to connect proposed work to historical actuals (providing connection to cost realism).
- Mentorship & Leadership: Guide and mentor junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the pricing team.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working
on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions: - Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Required Skills and Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 6 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
