Press Department Supervisor

RESPONSIBLITIES:
  • Responsible for implementation of production plans
  • Schedules operations
  • Monitors, adjusts, and reports inventories.
  • Develops and educates associates in proper procedures of company policy, safety and quality issues, and production requirements.
  • Monitors machinery and equipment.
  • Resolves problems logically and effectively.
  • Communicates necessary information to associates.
  • Eliminates waste through safety, quality and production improvements.
  • Implements new systems and operations.
  • Continues focus and improvements I housekeeping through 5's
  • Monitor required quality documentation at each specific operation. Insure all applicable checks on inspection sheets, SPC charts, etc. are being properly completed with any applicable notations/comments.
  • Responsible for implementation that any required IPP tags are placed on product as applicable (Honda only)
  • Insure that all associates comply with signing in and out gauges per corporate procedures.
  • Particpates in applicable "corrective action" activities as deemed essential to plant and customer needs.
  • Maintains work center schedule by staying within production and shipping scheduling.
  • Oversees set-up on work centers ensuring quality performance and proper documentation.
  • Conducts one-on-one meetings with associates on current issues such as quality, attendance, safety, housekeeping, and production requirements. Answers field questions and notes suggestions as needed.
  • Reviews and approvals weekly attendance in etime stystem.
  • Fills out daily production reports on all work centers.
  • Completes 30/90 day reviews for associates.
  • Responsible to train associates to required skills.
  • Fills out required report on Q.O.S. (Quality Operating Standards) as required.
  • Establishes new work instructions and work standards (per corporate procedures)

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Supervises associates in production.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the area assigned to.
  • Involved in interviewing and hiring.
  • Responsible for training, planning, assigning, and directing work.
  • Participates in rewarding and disciplining associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Responsible for reading and understanding the TS16949 and ISO-14001 procedures located at K:/winapps/data/TS Team/Procedures

• PAY AND SHIFT TIMES: 2nd shift position and range on the rate is $61,900 to $103,100 plus shift premium and STOT.

This full-time, Salary role is a part of our Operations team and reports to the Operations Manager and Superintendent.
