Full Job Description
Mission:

The main target of the Predictive Maintenance program is to predict quality failures before they happen and act preventively. Using Predictive Maintenance for specific failures will lead to warranty costs reductions and customer satisfaction increase. This program will use huge amounts of data collected over the air from all connected vehicles and AI algorithms for predictions. The operation manager will be responsible for conducting the operations for one or more use cases.

Activities:

The overall objective is to build an operational Predictive Maintenance program and to operate it making sure to reduce warranty costs, increase customer satisfaction and limit the disturbance of our customers.

Under the leadership of the Predictive Maintenance Program director, the predictive maintenance operations manager:
  • Will be responsible for selecting the issues (failures) to be used for predictive maintenance (for which the predictive operations will save warranty spending and increase customer satisfaction)
  • The ideal candidate will work with engineering experts across different commodities to understand if their top issues are candidates for predictive maintenance
  • Will be responsible to check the pattern definition of the selected failures, the data collection relative to this failure and pattern.
  • Will support the teams building the algorithms of detection from a quality (business side)
  • Will be responsible for building the business case for the selected failure and prepare a decision to start the operations of predictive maintenance for this failure.
  • Will be responsible to plan an operate the test phase, the ramp-up and the full operations for the selected failure.
  • Will be responsible to monitor the performance of the algorithms and the performance in the field (precision, recall, on-time....).
  • Will be responsible to monitor the savings, the customer inconveniences, and related KPIs and propose to act on the operations when needed (stop, limit, revise criteria...)
  • Will be responsible to ensure all stakeholders are align on the criteria, the messages, the communication channels, the operations at dealers with Brands, customer care, After-sales, quality, PDT...

Responsibilities:

Financial data: under the leadership of the program manager, will be responsible to propose decisions up to several millions €.

Degree of autonomy:
  • Manages their activity, makes necessary decisions within their responsibilities and in compliance with company operations
  • Ensure a good coordination with all stakeholders.

Reporting:
  • Reports actions and results to Predictive Maintenance Project director

Work relationship:

Functional relationships:
  • Will coordinate team members in multiple entities to contribute to deploy predictive maintenance use cases (PDT Engineering, Quality, Aftersales, customer care, SWBU, AI & ICT teams, brands....)


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering or product quality (quality in the field, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, recall & campaigns)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work in a cross-functional and international environment
  • Fluent English (written & spoken)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in engineering
  • Experience using OTA data or Connected Vehicle Services
  • International profile
  • Second language desired (French / Italian)
