Position Overview:The Preconstruction Manager for Residential/Multifamily projects is responsible for overseeing the preconstruction phase of building projects. This role involves managing the estimating process, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that all project requirements and specifications are met before construction begins.
This is an onsite position with relocation assistance available!Key Responsibilities:- Lead the preconstruction process for residential and multifamily projects
- Develop and manage detailed project estimates and budgets
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather and validate project information
- Review and analyze project plans and specifications to identify potential issues and propose solutions
- Prepare comprehensive bid packages and manage the bidding process
- Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies as needed
- Ensure preconstruction activities align with project timelines and development schedules
- Provide leadership and support to project teams throughout the preconstruction phase
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or preconstruction, preferably in residential or multifamily projects
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methodologies
- Proficiency in estimating software and project management tools (experience with Marks Systems is a plus)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
